Drinking might be part of the festivities for Super Bowl Sunday, but the Norwalk Police Department has a warning for you: don't get behind the wheel of a car after you do it.
The department will have additional officers out on the day of the big game and big parties, adding to the number of patrol cars out looking for intoxicated and impaired drivers.
Super Bowl Sunday is Feb. 6. The department hopes that the increased DUI Enforcement Patrols will deter people from drinking and driving. Some cars will be marked, some will not.
Funding for the enhanced patrol is provided through the state Department of Transportation's Comprehensive DUI Enforcement Program.
