Toneisha Blackmon of Bridgeport learned a lesson when she got into an altercation with a school crossing guard at Jefferson Science Magnet School . The 61-year-old female guard tried to stop Blackmon after she drove her van through a stop sign on Grandview Avenue Tuesday around 3 p.m. Blackmon, 24, pulled her car over 200 feet down the road to express her opinion to the guard. Blackmon apparently thought the guard, who has decades of experience, stepped out in front of her too abruptly.
She wound up getting arrested for breach of peace and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. A police official said Blackmon was waving her arms and yelling at the guard and even bumped her. Blackmon was not charged with Failure to Obey a School Crossing Guard , which carries at least a $100 fine.
