NORWALK, Conn. – A Norwalk road was partially closed Monday night because of a water main break that cut off water to residents in the area.
The problem in the 50- to 60-year-old water main under Park Street near North Avenue was found Friday, First Taxing District workers said. Residents were notified that repairs on the cracked valve would be done Monday. The work was expected to take about five hours to complete.
Park Street was closed to southbound traffic as the work was done. Water was out from the area of the break to the end of the town green, workers said.
