Cost-Saving Information Mailed To Norwalk Senior Citizens

The brochure was published by the City of Norwalk in cooperation with the Senior Umbrella, The Norwalk Senior Center, and the Mayor’s Energy and Environment Task Force.

“Please take a look at this brochure, which is designed to highlight programs that address some of the expenses seniors face,” Rilling said in a statement. “I want to call your attention to the new senior tax relief guidelines passed by the Council last fall, in particular. They increase the income range by $5,000 so that more people will be eligible – and they raise the benefit by 10 percent.

"The impact on taxpayers is minimal. There is a great deal of other information here, and I hope it will be helpful to you and your loved ones.”
