NORWALK, Conn. A fatal accident involving a pedestrian on Route 7 in Norwalk was under investigation by state police Friday morning.
A man in his 20s was struck by two vehicles while crossing the connector on the northbound side between Interstate 95 and Exit 1, the Belden Avenue exit, just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Edward Prescott said. A tweet from FoxCT identified the victim as James Shaw of Norwalk.
Police closed Route 7 northbound near Exit 1 for several hours after the pedestrian was struck, according to a story on the WFSB website .
Route 7 reopened about 4:30 a.m. after an investigation by state police.
