Reinoso has been in the field of human services and education since 1998. His work experience has been in the fields of criminal justice, public health, education, substance abuse and mental health. He has extensive experience in prevention through educational presentations, community outreach and case management.
Reinoso has a real passion for prevention and has always enjoyed working with the most challenging underserved communities, those at high risk. His knowledge of cultural competency along with his prevention and community outreach experience has shown to effectively reach those communities and individuals most in need. He has trained many providers statewide and nationally on the topic of prevention and culturally competency as well as legislative advocacy.
Reinoso is the director of the Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition. MFSAC is one of 13 Connecticut Regional Action Councils created by Connecticut State Legislation in 1989. MFSAC’s mission is to bring recognition and resources to address substance abuse and its effects on the communities through collaborations, education and awareness, and community attentiveness.
Reinoso previously spent seven years with the Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling, where he was responsible for statewide outreach, legislative advocacy and community relations.
He is a design team member and a certified facilitator for the Parent Leadership Training Institute, with the state of Connecticut's Commission on Children. PLTI helps parents become leading advocates for children.
Reinoso has a master of science in management and organizational leadership, a bachelor's of science in a dual major of psychology and human services, with additional certifications and training in behavioral healthcare and in gerontology. He is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese.
