NORWALK, Conn. – Eight of 11 runners from Norwalk finished Monday’s Boston Marathon before the race was halted due to an explosion.
Norwalk runners who finished were Mark Barrett, Joshua Beatman, Ian Cadieu, Douglas Greavatt, Robert Kennedy, Eric Opdyke, James Whipple and Blaine Wilkes.
Yolane Miracle-Colburn, Kathryn “Kate” Stoker and Keith Suchy passed the halfway point. Stoker wrote in a message that she completed around 25 miles when she learned the race was stopped. Massage therapist Tony Trujillo, who was working the event, also wrote in a note that he was safe.
