Intermediate Word and Excel classes will meet in January. There are also keyboarding/typing classes at the YW on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and those taking classes can also use the Computer Center to practice skills during office hours.

More than 2,200 women have taken advantage of the YW’s Job Search Support program. Not only are women taught Microsoft Office skills, but they can also get help in creating and updating resumes, preparing for interviews and consulting on how to find work. Each woman can take part in a free half-hour consultation.

The YWCA Darien/Norwalk is at 49 Old King’s Highway N. Financial assistance is available for those in need, and there are many free services provided, thanks to the support of the “Open Door” program for homeless women.
