The library's Book & A Movie will be "Pavilion of Women" at noon Saturday, March 15.
"Book & A Movie celebrates National Women's History Month with a discussion of "Pavilion of Women," a story by Pulitzer Prize winning author Pearl S. Buck, about Madame Wu, who, on her 40th birthday, tells her husband that she will no longer sleep with him and will find a country girl to replace her in intimacy," representatives said. "Madame Wu relishes her independence, reading forbidden books despite the uproar her decision causes, until her son's English tutor, a free-thinking priest, changes her life."
The movie, starring Willem Dafoe, will follow the book discussion. Registration for the free event is required; call 203-899-2790, ext. 15902.
Yoga with Mark Covello is set for 9 a.m. on Saturdays at the library.
