NORWALK, Conn. – William I. Byington of Norwalk died May 25 at his home in South Carolina after a battle with leukemia. He was 63.
He was the son of Donald A. Byington and Ann Rose Byington.
He is survived by his wife, Phylis M. Byington; two daughters, Kari Cappiello and Shari Espinal; three stepchildren, Mark Monroe Jr., Jason Monroe and Karisa Monroe; and four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
He is also survived by four sisters, Nora, Ann Rose, Agnes and Michelle; four brothers, Donald, John, Gary and Henry; a nephew who he considered a brother, Gary Kearns; and longtime friend, Mark Monroe Sr.
Services will be at a later date in Connecticut.
