Kenneth Olson says he would like to restore the vitality of Wall Street and believes others in the community would like that, too. But the principal of POKO Partners recognizes that community members have many questions and concerns about his proposed development, Wall Street Place, a housing and commercial complex planned for the Isaacs Street area of Wall Street.
Olson is inviting the public to a meeting today at 5:30 p.m. on the second floor of B.J. Ryan's at 57 Main St. "It's been a long time since we've spoken in public," said Olson. "We want everyone to see where we are in the process."
Olson bought the 2.9-acre site five years ago. In the past, plans have specified 182,112 square feet of development, with 101 housing units, 14,759 square feet of retail and 2,424 square feet of restaurant space and underground parking. Olson wouldn't specify any changes in the plans. "Come to the meeting," he said.
According to the city's website , Olson also wants to talk about "economic development issues that affect this district as well. Property owners, interested parties and the public are encouraged to attend."
