NORWALK, Conn. – Get out to meet your neighbors and support an important Norwalk community resource Sunday morning at the "Run Between Libraries Family Run and Walk."

Sponsored by FactSet and TD Bank, the 5K (3.1 mile) run supports family programming at the Norwalk Public Library, such as "Ready, Set ... Read!", a program peppered with Zumba classes; the "Fun Bus" and puppet shows.

The event starts at 9 a.m. at Union Park at the end of Mott Avenue. But beforehand kids of all ages can take part in a 50-yard dash and receive a free goodie bag. Food and live music will follow at the main library branch.

The first 250 participants to register for the race get a T-shirt, goodie bag and free pass to the Maritime Aquarium. Early registration is $14 at the Norwalk Public Library website or $15 by mail. Students can register for $6 on the website. Day-of registration is $20 for everyone.

The first three men and women to finish the race will receive prizes. Others can win gift certificates to local restaurants and participate in health wellness activities before the race.
