Proceeds went to Person-to-Person, which serves nearly 24,000 individuals in need from neighboring communities each year. The all-ages event featured lively, interactive music by Jay and Ray Music for Everyone, cookie decorating by UCBC (Upper Crust Bakery and Café) and dinner from Heights Pizza. After dancing and a fun sing-a-long, children enjoyed dinner and a craft and then left with a sweet treat takeaway from Chunky Pam’s Sweet Shoppe.
“Snowflakes, Songs & Slices has become a popular outing for families looking for fun indoor activities in the winter,” said Patty Deery, vice president of Opus for Person-to-Person. “Everyone had a wonderful time, and it was a special opportunity to raise money for a great cause.”
Next up for Opus is an annual spring gala, the organization’s largest fundraiser. “Spring Fling: March Madras” will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Wee Burn Country Club in Darien. Tickets are now on sale. Details on purchasing tickets and attending the event are available on the Opus for Person-to-Person website a www.opus4p2p.org.
