NORWALK, Conn. A series of arts activities in SoNo begins Wednesday night with the opening of Peeps Show, the latest show sponsored by Norwalk 2.0 at 136 Washington St. Twelve Firing Circuit Artists will be exhibiting at the mARTket Pop-Up Gallery, next to Donovan's Restaurant in the old Sweet Rexies storefront. The opening reception will be 6:30 to 10 p.m.
Visitors can watch an artist set up a still life with everyday objects during "Draw With the Artist" from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday. Lori Lohstoeter , who teaches drawing at Norwalk Community College as well as creative computer programs with private students, will give a free drawing lesson for all ages. Bring your own supplies and a folding chair.
On Friday evening, visitors will mold a ball of clay into a little house in "It Takes a Village," from 7 to 9 p.m. Denise Minnerly will lead the collaborative clay installation, with results to be shown later. All ages are invited.
Gallery hours are from 4 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, or by appointment.
