Ness chaired the "Play It Forward Golf Tournament" in honor of his brother, Michael, who died as a result of burns he sustained during a house fire in August 2013.
Ness, who used to golf weekly with his brother, put the event together and attracted 120 golfers the Oak Hills Golf Course in Norwalk.
To raise additional funds for the Burn Center, there was a post-golf celebration and auction for approximately 100 people at the Continental Manor in Norwalk.
“When my family was in the midst of this horrible and personal tragedy, the Connecticut Burn Center embraced us all. Providing the finest in medical care for my brother and supporting us emotionally and physically," Ness said in a statement. “The Burn Center was there for us. So I wanted to ‘Play It Forward’ in Michael’s name so the center can help other families.”
