Ethan Alphonse, 3, watched his older brother march in the Rowayton parade Sunday, and then he went off for more fun across from Pinkney Park. Ethan and Erica Dertulien, 8, danced near Veterans' Cannon as bagpipers played and veterans were honored.
The Memorial Day fun continued through the afternoon in Rowayton. The Rowayton United Methodist Church sold its strawberry shortcakes and people wandered around Pinkney Park, where the Rowayton Arts Center held Art in the Park.
Ethan's mom said his brother Ralph played clarinet with Roton Middle School during the parade. Ethan goes to the lab school at Norwalk Community College and Erica is a second grader at Jefferson Elementary School.
