Rosemary Bishop, 88, of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – Rosemary C. Bishop of Norwalk died May 16 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. She was 88.

The daughter of Timothy and Myra Lee Collins, she was born in Norwalk on March 25, 1924. Bishop was a retired employee of the Girls Scouts of America. She was also an active parishioner of St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church.

Collins is survived by a son, Timothy Bishop and wife Diane of Norwalk, and Craig Bishop and wife Diane of Easton; a daughter, Nancy Butler and husband Earl of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William C. Bishop.

Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk. A private burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Norwalk

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rosemary C. Bishop Tribute Fund c/o the Alzheimer's Association.
