NORWALK, Conn. -- The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum received two donations totaling $10,000.

Spinnaker Real Estate Partners donated $5,000 and an anonymous donor made a matching gift in the same amount.

"We are very grateful to Spinnaker and the anonymous donor for their generous support," said Patsy Brescia, chairman of the mansion's Board of Trustees. "Their donations will allow us to continue to be a strong and vibrant educational and cultural center for a city that has become a major destination for families all across the region."

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum is a National Historic Landmark located at 295 West Ave. in Norwalk. It is regarded as one of the earliest and most significant surviving Second Empire Style mansions ever built in the United States.

The museum offers full tours at the museum are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for children and young adults ages 8 through 18. Children under 8 are admitted free.
