NORWALK, Conn. -- HomeServe USA (HomeServe) today announced a $23,000 donation to Make-A-Wish Connecticut, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
The leading provider of home repair solutions presented the donation during an event held at its Norwalk headquarters that also celebrated a recent local wish recipient. The gift to the foundation was possible as a result of HomeServe employees raising nearly $11,500 through several charitable initiatives, which was then matched by the Company. Employees participated in a Jeans for Wishes initiative that included sale of passes allowing staff to wear jeans to the office, bake sales and a raffle – with all proceeds going to the foundation.
The donation from HomeServe will go toward supporting upcoming wishes fulfilled by Make-A-Wish, as the organization’s steady pipeline and has already filled 75 wishes this summer in Connecticut alone.
