Norwalk's Center For Contemporary Printmaking Welcomes Board Member

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Center for Contemporary Printmaking announces the selection of Donald Taglialatella, of Middlebury, to serve on the organization's board of directors.

Taglialatella, a graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in art history, is an international art world professional with nearly 25 years proven expertise in the area of international post-war contemporary paintings, prints, sculpture, works on paper and photographs, according to a press release.

He was a curatorial apprentice at the University of Delaware's Museum of Art for his entire four years at the U of D (1986-90). He has also worked as a gallery owner/art dealer, art historian and independent curator. Since 1998, Taglialatella has owned and operated World House Editions and World House Gallery.

Taglialatella is a member of the International Fine Print Dealers Association, as well as the Confédération Internationale de Négociants en Oeuvres d'Art and has written on artists and movements such as Antony Gormley, Arman, Reinhoud and The Cobra group.

Taglialatella brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in the development and enhancement of private and corporate collections in various media and artistic preferences and his knowledge of the contemporary print world and publishing will be an especially great asset to the center, according to a press release.

Comprised of eight members, the board of directors is responsible for guiding and supporting the nonprofit's mission to create original prints and to educate the community to a better understanding and appreciation of prints and the process of printmaking.
