Mayor Richard Moccia has cautioned that getting the power back on will take a while. Connecticut Power & Light usually can call in crews from other companies, but those companies are busy with their own power outages after Tropical Storm Irene blew through the region.
Gov. Dannel Malloy says the same thing. "We have never had as many people without power as we have had in this storm, restoration not as quick as we would like," he said Monday morning in a tweet.
