The volunteers performed interior priming and painting, exterior landscaping, weeding, mulching, gardening, clearing shrubs and trimming trees at the home, according to a press release.

They were participating in a nationwide corporate service initiative called “Reed Cares.”

Amanda Maiorano, project leader and digital product manager for Reed said in a press release: “This was a terrific opportunity for all of us to get together and to give back to the community in which we live and work in. We had great time and were so happy to help. The residents were just lovely and so appreciative of the work we did to their home, which made our time there that much more meaningful. As an organization, we do a lot of projects with STAR because we enjoy supporting the work that they do and helping the community it serves.”

Katie Banzhaf, executive director of STAR said in a press release, “We are so grateful for the support Reed Exhibitions has demonstrated with their volunteer service over the past years. Their hard work and planning is heartwarming and means so much to the entire STAR family. STAR appreciates the corporate support of Reed Exhibitions and we recognize their generous efforts on behalf of STAR."
