Norwalk Tree Alliance Identifies Species In City Parks

NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk Tree Alliance has been identifying trees in city parks in the area, with signs being added to increase public awareness about the urban forest and its diversity and value.

At least 85 trees will be identified, in Calf Pasture Beach, Shady Beach, Mathews Park, Rosa Parks Arboretum and Cranbury Park.

The initiative was funded by a $7,000 grant from the Forestry Department of the U.S. Agriculture Department, through the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
