Norwalk Man Turns To Kickstarter To Fulfill Musical Dream

NORWALK, Conn. -- A South Norwalk musician is hoping Kickstarter will be the thing he needed to get his big break.

Mark Dahl, of South Norwalk, recently obtained the $300 goal he set on Kickstarter to fund his first official album "Junk Drawer Du Jour."

Mark Dahl recently obtained the $300 goal he set on Kickstarter to fund his first official album "Junk Drawer Du Jour." Dahl said he spent nearly 20 years writing and sharing his songs but has never attempted an official album. While the donation period officially ended Wednesday, Dec. 19, Dahl has already succeeded in obtaining his goal.

"Unlike all my other tunes before, I have spent hours upon hours on each individual track to coax out the beauty, quality, and personality of each song (no matter how ugly the actual song may be)," Dahl wrote on his Kickstarter page. "This entire project has been constructed start to finish by me, so this financial assistance isn't needed for the actual content of the album itself. No, this is all about fulfilling my life-long dream of actually having a physical professional quality CD release."
