NORWALK, Conn. – Artists are invited to submit their sense-oriented work for an ongoing exhibition in the Maritime Parking Garage in Norwalk.
The City of Norwalk Parking Authority, in collaboration with the Norwalk Arts Commission, is inviting submissions from artists, 18 and over, for the third in a series of juried art shows at the Maritime Garage Gallery.
The exhibits, called Senses of SoNo, feature selected artwork reflecting themes playing on the traditional five senses. They include: sight is urban elements, smell equals food, touch is music, taste becomes fashion and hearing is Long Island Sound.
The deadline for submission is Dec. 1. The show will run from Jan. 16 through March 28. For more information and to download the submission form, visit www.norwalkpark.org or request the submission form by emailing at maritimegallery@norwalkpark.org.
The Maritime Garage Gallery is part of the Parking Authority's "Art in Parking Places" initiative, an effort to support art in public spaces.
