The seminar, called Internet Marketing: Making Branding Work, will focus on one of the least understood aspects of marketing. Yet branding is the core value that informs every other aspect of marketing efforts, from appearance to messaging to content.

Jodi Meryl Wallace, president of JMW & Co. in Norwalk, will demystify branding and show how to create, revive or rescue small business brand identity and use it to develop an Internet marketing roadmap that will guide website, content marketing, email marketing, social media, blog, direct marketing, networking and advertising efforts. Jeff Seaver, of Seaver Interactive, will moderate.

Wallace is a branding strategist, marketing expert and social media enthusiast with over 30 years of experience helping organizations ? from technology startups to multimillion-dollar hospital corporations ? build strategic brand initiatives and innovative marketing campaigns. She has served as chief marketing officer for a large public company and has held senior level positions at leading marketing agencies.

The program is free and open to the public, but advance registration with SCORE at scorenorwalk.org is suggested. Sign-in at 5:30 p.m.. The workshop is from 6 to 8 p.m. Co-sponsored with Fairfield County SCORE.
