The article by Dr. Scott R. Serels of Westport concerns single incision slings used in the surgical correction of incontinence. "Cadaveric Assessment of Synthetic Mid-Urethral Sling Placement" was published in the May 2011 Open Journal of Urology, Vol. 1, No. 2.

Serels, who has given numerous courses for physicians throughout the world on treatment for pelvic prolapse and incontinence, has also been the featured speaker at annual international urological meetings. Chief of Urogynecology at Norwalk Hospital, Serels is also the director of the Bladder Control Center in Norwalk and in practice with Urology Associates of Norwalk.
