Norwalk Daughters Of American Revolution To Honor Students, Teachers

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Village Green Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will recognize local students and teachers this weekend.

The monthly meeting is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at the Norwalk Town House at Mill Hill Historic Park at 2 E. Wall St. in Norwalk. Members and invited guests will gather for special awards presentations to recognize local students and teachers.

Brien McMahon High School senior Nicole Lue and Norwalk High School senior Bridget McCullum are scheduled to receive the DAR Good Citizen Award.

Representatives will also present local middle school students with awards for entries to the DAR American History Essay contest. The Norwalk-Village Green Chapter will also be recognizing Dean Vaccaro and Robert Pennington, the recipients of the Norwalk outstanding teachers of American History Award.
