NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Community Chorale invites new members, with a love of music, to join the 70 member four-part chorus for its 53rd annual season.
The chorale performs for the community during concerts at Christmas and in the spring, and at local community functions upon request.
There are no tryouts or residency requirements to become a member.
The chorale rehearses from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m Tuesday at the Mary McCarthy room adjacent to the Norwalk Concert Hall, Norwalk City Hall.
New members will be accepted through Oct. 1.
The Norwalk Community Chorus was founded in 1961 as a project of the Norwalk Recreation and Parks Department. Its purpose is to provide free choral concerts for the people of Norwalk and the surrounding towns.
