Mary Mace, 75, Retired From Norwalk Hospital

NORWALK, Conn. – Former Norwalk resident Mary F. Paxton Mace died April 28 at Cook Willow in Plymouth, Conn. She was 75. 

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Norwalk. 

She was born Feb. 12, 1937, in Norwalk. A longtime local resident, Mace was retired from Norwalk Hospital, where she had worked for over 20 years. She was married to the late John "Jack" Mace. She enjoyed taking rides to Calf Pasture Beach and doing crossword puzzles.

Mace is survived by two daughters, Michele Sarrazien Whipple and Sue Ann Caulder; two sons, John M. Sarrazien Sr. and Robert J. Sarrazien Sr.; a sister, Ida Piatt; a brother, John "Lucky" Paxton Sr.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Lyons Funeral Home in Thomaston, Conn., is in charge of arrangements.
