LuAnn Schutte-Givens, 56, Norwalk City Employee

NORWALK, Conn. – LuAnn Schutte-Givens of Norwalk died May 25 at Norwalk Hospital after a battle with cancer. She was 56.

Schutte-Givens was retired from the City of Norwalk comptroller's office. She also worked in the town clerk's office.

She was born Oct. 3, 1955, in Fairfield to the late William E. and Margaret Hazay Schutte. Married to Randal Givens, she enjoyed attending plays and concerts and vacationing in Virginia.

She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her niece and nephew, Amanda M. Clarke and Brian A. Clarke Jr, to whom she was like a second mother.

Schutte-Givens is survived by a sister, Tanya M. (Brian Sr.) Clarke; an aunt; two brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law; and her close friends, Karen Kelsey and Aguilda Roman.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Little Zion Church in Norwalk. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
