Letter: McCarthy Will Help Keep Norwalk Moving

NORWALK, Conn. – Former state Sen. Dan Debicella writes in support of David McCarthy for Common Council, District E:

Excellence in local government means having our neighbors step up and use their talents to help the community. Dave McCarthy is running for Common Council in District E because he is looking to give back to Norwalk by continuing the success that Mayor Moccia and his team have brought to the city.

During my campaign for Congress last year, I got to know Dave and his passion for public service. Whether serving as treasurer for the Senior Center or being a mentor in the Norwalk Mentoring Program, Dave has dedicated his free time to bettering Norwalk. He has served as a zoning commissioner, wrote the grant to establish a Green Career Center at Norwalk Community College and is working to incorporate bike and pedestrian plans into Norwalk's transportation system.

Dave will work with Dick Moccia and members of both parties to keep Norwalk moving in the right direction. Whether bringing new jobs into Norwalk, keeping a lid on wasteful spending, or maintaining Norwalk as a balanced community, Dave McCarthy has the vision, experience, and commitment to be a great asset to your family on the Common Council. I encourage you to vote for him on Nov. 8.
