I want to thank my fellow residents of the 143rd District in Wilton and Norwalk for honoring me with your votes Tuesday. I'm deeply moved by this demonstration of your confidence, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I am very grateful to all of the friends and supporters who committed so much time and energy to making our campaign a success. And I have been fortunate to have the strong support of my husband and family throughout this long election season.
I also thank Peggy Reeves for her service as our state representative and wish her the best for the remainder of her term and in the future.
I feel exceedingly privileged to have met with so many people in our district during the past few months, and I appreciate your openness and willingness to discuss what really matters to you. You have taken the time to share with me your concerns, your hopes, your fears and your aspirations, and there is nothing more important that I will take to Hartford when I begin my work there on your behalf. I will continue to actively seek your input so that I may faithfully represent you and ensure that your voice is heard.
I look forward to working for you as your state representative, to re-create an environment in Connecticut where businesses can grow, families can prosper and people can achieve even greater things.
State representative-elect, 143rd Assembly District
