Josephine Shoztic, 94, of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – Josephine Grace Shoztic, 94, of Norwalk, died peacefully in her home on Sunday, April 15. 

Born Feb. 15, 1918, in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Tudisco) Nobile. She married Steven "Pete" Shoztic, who predeceased her. Shoztic worked for many years at the Fairlawn Beauty Salon and enjoyed bowling and soap operas. A family woman, she liked to make chicken soup for her grandchildren.  

Shoztic is survived by two daughters, Sandra Scarso and Diane (Leonard) Coleman; three sisters, Nancy Martinelli, Lena Valeri and Pauline McKale; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters, Patrina Bisacca, Florence McDonough and Frances Hansen.  

Her family would like to acknowledge and thank Lilianne Buissereth, Shoztic’s caregiver and companion for many months. 

A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Matthew Church in Norwalk, followed by burial in St. John Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk.
