NORWALK, Conn. -- Happy birthday to Norwalk’s Idris Price!
Price, who grew up in Norwalk and lives there, turns 39 on Tuesday. The football linebacker/fullback was born Aug. 30, 1977, in Norwalk.
Price began his football career at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk. During his junior year, the Senators recorded a nine shutouts throughout the season and won the state championship.
Price was a member of the Super Bowl XXXVII champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Following the 2002 NFL season, he joined the World League team Frankfurt Galaxy that went on to win the 2003 World Bowl.
In 2004, he entered the AFL with the Orlando Predators, playing there for three seasons. From there, Price went to the Philadelphia Soul (2007) and the New York Dragons (2008).
In 2013, Price began coaching at St. Luke's School in New Canaan, and currently protects and serves Norwalk High School as a member of the security guard team.
