Girl Scouts Honor Norwalk Woman For 65 Years Of Volunteer Service

NORWALK, Conn. – Courtenay Austin of Norwalk was recognized for being a volunteer for Girl Scouts for 65 years at the Girl Scout of Connecticut’s Annual Meeting Sunday at the Glastonbury Riverfront Community Center.

Austin was recognized by Mary Barneby, Girl Scouts of Connecticut chief executive officer. The Membership Numeral Pin recognizes years of membership with Girl Scouts of the USA, both as a girl and adult member combined.

At the meeting, the council recognized a number of volunteers, members and staff, and elected its new board of directors.
