Electric vehicle owners may be delighted to know that the South Norwalk train station has a special parking spot equipped with a charging station for electric-powered cars. There is even a green signwith white letters warning gasoline-powered vehicles to park somewhere else.
On Wednesday afternoon, there were no Chevy Volts or other electric-powered vehicles near the charging station, though. This shiny BMW parked in the electric vehicle spot may be tempting law enforcement and the official tow truck. It was certainly blocking access to the charging device.
Norwalk will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the chargers at 3:30 p.m., Jan. 31, at the train station.
