Dr. Seuss, Jeff Kinney Win South Norwalk Library Vote

NORWALK, Conn. – The team of Dr. Seuss and Bill Peet won the picture book category of the children’s author vote this week at the South Norwalk Branch Library.

After all the ballots were tallied from Tuesday’s vote, Seuss and Peet garnered 49 votes, while second-place finishers Mo Willems and Laura Numeroff received 20 votes. The teams of Eric Carle and Anne Rockwell, and Jane O’Connor and Victoria Kahn, finished third and fourth, respectively.

In the chapter book category, Jeff Kinney and Marjorie Weinman Sharmat garnered the most votes with 42, followed by J.K. Rowling and David Adler with 20 votes. Mary Pope Osbourne and Carolyn Keene, and Rick Riordan and Frank W. Dixon, came in third and fourth, respectively.
