Kearns, who formerly served as Norwalk site manager, is assuming responsibility for recruiting volunteers, organizing food drives and donations, and working more closely with funders and corporate teams in Norwalk and the towns of Weston, Westport and Wilton. With a professional background in sales, proven capabilities in building successful relationships in the community and deep, hands-on knowledge of Norwalk operations, Kearns brings significant experience to this new position.

“We are all excited about Ed taking on this new role,” says Dave Crandall, director of development. “He is passionate about helping low-income families, he has an in-depth knowledge of our Norwalk office, and his enthusiasm is contagious. He will be a great ambassador for Person-to-Person.”

Jayne will be responsible for all operational matters at the Norwalk office, including volunteer management, shift scheduling and food pantry inventory. Having recently served as a master's candidate intern at Person-to-Person in Darien, Jayne contributed to a variety of projects across all departments. According to Janet King, director of volunteers, Jayne was a key participant in development of a robust online resource for individuals to search volunteer opportunities and schedule volunteer shifts at the Darien and Norwalk offices.

“From the first day of her internship, Callie demonstrated her resourcefulness and organizational skills, which will serve us well in her new position.”

Jayne has several years of professional experience in educational admissions and has been actively involved in the nonprofit sector, having organized a fundraiser concert for Bridgeport tornado victims, established a corporate team to support children in Haiti affected by the 2010 earthquake and counseled students on strategies to help them  graduate. Jayne is completing a master's degree in human services in nonprofit management at Post University.
