Borecki will be making a run for the $100,000 grand prize as the final round is broadcast on Monday at 7 p.m. on WABC-TV and WTNH-TV in Connecticut.

According to The Jeopardy Fan website, in his run on "Jeopard" Borecki has answered 55 questions correctly, with only four incorrect answers.

He is six-for-six on Daily Doubles, earning a net $14,000. He is also 42.47 percent in ringing in first on the buzzer on the quiz show — 48 out of 113 times.

Borecki was one of two Connecticut teens to compete in this year's tournament, which lasts for two weeks. The shows were taped earlier this year at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.

According to the Darien Times, Borecki was recently named a National Merit Semifinalist and last year won the National History Bee Connecticut State Championship JV level for the second year. As an eighth-grader, he won the state’s geography bee.

Porter Bowman, a junior at St. Luke’s School in New Canaan, was another of the 15 teen contestants who took part in earlier rounds of the quiz show competition but did not advance.

“The Teen Tournament is my favorite yearly event due to the energy and enthusiasm of our young contestants,” said "Jeopardy" host Alex Trebek. “Taping this year’s shows in D.C. only added to that feeling of excitement and also created a sense of occasion that was felt by everyone who participated in it.”
