“With the strong support of the Wilton community, we’re excited about extending the Loop beyond the recently completed boardwalk to Twin Oak Lane,” said Pat Sesto, president of the Friends of the Norwalk River Valley Trail.

Timber& Stone, the trail builder for the entirety of the Wilton Loop, expects to finish with the latest extension this month.

When the extension is completed, the east side of the Wilton Loop will run over 2 miles from the trailhead at Route 7 and Wolfpit Road, to just short of Skunk Lane.

The goal of the NRVT is a 38-mile multiuse trail that runs from Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, through Wilton, Ridgefield and Redding, and ending at Rogers Park in Danbury. Some poortions of the NRVT have been completed.
