Founded in 1994, the clinic serves more than 800 residents of Norwalk and surrounding towns. Patients receive comprehensive health services, including lab work, medication and diagnostic testing, all at no cost.
“We have been a longtime supporter of AmeriCares because of all the great work they do,” said Carrie Bernier, The Community Fund of Darien executive director. “Thanks to organizations like AmeriCares, we can ensure that our donations are making the greatest impact possible in our communities.”
The Community Fund of Darien provides grants to local nonprofits meeting the most critical needs in Darien, Stamford and Norwalk. For over 60 years, the fund has been able to put its contributors’ dollars to use where they are most needed in the local communities.
The Community Fund of Darien has donated more than $200,000 to the AmeriCares Free Clinics over the past seven years, supporting free health care services for thousands of low-income Fairfield County residents in need.
