Chef Event At Harbor Yard Benefits Norwalk Family And Children's Agency

NORWALK, Conn. – The Bridgeport Bluefish will host “Men Who Cook” to benefit the Norwalk-based Family and Children’s Agency at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

For $45, those who attend will be seated in the VIP suite at Ballpark at Harbor Yard and have the opportunity to sample foods made by local chefs and fare from area restaurants.

The Bluefish will be playing a doubleheader against the Long Island Ducks. The Bridgeport Bluefish are part of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.

“FCA is thrilled to team up with the Bridgeport Bluefish for Men Who Cook,” said Robert F. Cashel, president and CEO of FCA. “Men Who Cook is a unique, family-friendly opportunity to take in a ball game and support a local cause. FCA is grateful to have the Bridgeport Bluefish as a newfound supporter and friend of the agency.”

Bluefish General Manager Ken Shepard said the feeling is mutual.

“Men Who Cook is another new and exciting event for the Bridgeport Bluefish,” he said. “We are pleased FCA is our partner.”

The relationship started when FCA adopted a suite at the ballpark. There, clients and donors can meet and watch games from the comfortable suites.
