NORWALK, Conn. Charles Paul Iannacone Sr., a former Norwalk resident, died May 25 at his home in Sandy Hook, Conn., surrounded by his wife and family. He was 74.
Iannacone was born March 5, 1938, in Norwalk to Quido and Mary Lepore Iannacone. He worked as a master electrician and taught many apprentices the trade. Iannacone married the former Patricia Vilk, who survives him. He enjoyed hunting in the Adirondacks, visiting Vermont and was fan of NASCAR.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Bruce (Marcia) Iannacone, of Danbury; two daughters, Lisa (Ron) Durgy and Susan (Mike) Schumaker, both of Mesa, Ariz.; five brothers, Quido (Carol) Iannacone, Daniel (Barbara) Iannacone, Christopher (Jeanette) Iannacone, Lawrence Iannacone and William (Martha) Iannacone; a sister, Linda (Joe) Devone; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Charles Paul Iannacone Jr.; a great-grandson, Bronson Charles; three brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday at Honan Funeral Home in Newtown. Burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
