Catch a Sneak Peek of 'Jane Eyre' in Norwalk

Grab a friend, a bucket of popcorn and catch an advanced screening of the new Focus Features film "Jane Eyre" on Thursday, March 10, to benefit the Westport Youth Film Festival, a film program and annual film festival for high school students.

Not only can you see the film before it premieres in New York City and Los Angeles on March 11, you can also chat with director Cary Fukunaga, who will be on hand after the screening for a question-and-answer session.

The film, an adaptation of the Charlotte Brontë novel, is set in 19th-century England and tells the story of Jane Eyre, an orphan who led an unhappy childhood. The story takes a twist when Jane leaves school to become a governess at a country estate, where she falls in love with her employer, whom she learns has a dark secret.

The screening will be held at the Bow Tie Royale 6 Theater at 542 Westport Ave., Norwalk, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25. Proceeds will go to support the annual youth film festival, which will be held May 13-14 in Fairfield. Seating is limited. To buy tickets, visit the Westport Arts Center website or call 203-222-7070.
