Antonia Chieffalo, 93, Longtime Norwalk Resident

NORWALK, Conn. – Antonia Chieffalo of Norwalk died May 6 at Aurora Senior Living. She was 93. 

Born in Nicastro, Italy, she was the last of Antonio and Lucia Peronne Curcio’s 12 children. Chieffalo was a Norwalk resident since 1955 and had worked as a sewing machine operator for Lessing Footwear and Meyers Manufacturing. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Pasquale Chieffalo.

She is survived by three sons, Domenico, of Danbury, Antonio (Tony), of Norwalk and Bert, of Fairfield; a daughter, Maria Cirifalco, of Norwalk; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Francesco. 

Visitiation is from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. Philip Church in Norwalk, with burial following at St. John Cemetery in Darien.
