Norwalk, CT (October 30, 2013) -- Sample great cuisine for a cause at Norwalk Education Foundation's Taste for Education on Thursday, Nov. 7, 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Aitoro’s on Westport Ave. All proceeds will go toward the organization’s mission of
supporting excellence in education in Norwalk Public Schools.
Guests can look forward to enjoying a sampling of local culinary delights from several area restaurants including Bar Sugo, Bella Pasta, BJ Ryans/BANC House, Cafe Madrid, Fountainhead Wines, Forever Sweet, Mama’s Boy, Saffron. Ninety 9 Bottles and Drinks Unlimited are providing beer tastings. In addition, the Norwalk High School Culinary Department will offer items prepared by students in the program. There will also be a silent auction featuring Red Sox tickets, spa gift certificates and a Dooney & Bourke satchel.
"The community looks forward to this unique and lively event every year," says NEF Director Gloria Tenofsky. "The evening helps support Norwalk public education while allowing local eateries to promote their specialties."

Founded in 1997, Norwalk Education Foundation (NEF) is a nonprofit organization that raises private funds to support Norwalk Public Schools. NEF promotes teacher effectiveness through professional development; classroom innovation through teacher mini-grants; and community engagement through local partnerships. This year, NEF is focusing on efforts to support teacher training around the Common Core State Standards.
