Allstate Honors Norwalk Agent David Gonzalez For Volunteerism

NORWALK, Conn. – Allstate agency owner David Gonzalez of Norwalk has received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for his commitment to helping others.

With this award came a $1,000 grant from The Allstate Foundation for the Foundation for Youth Empowerment and Leadership Development, the American Heart Association and Bridgeport Rescue Mission Inc., where Gonzalez volunteers his time.

Allstate agents and employees in Connecticut have a history of promoting volunteerism and providing financial resources to enable local organizations to help others.

“The Agency Hands in the Community Award celebrates the spirit of service. Commitment to our communities is a natural extension of what we do every day – protecting people and making their lives more secure,” said Julia Reusch, Allstate communications manager. “With support from The Allstate Foundation, David Gonzalez and these charitable organizations are making his community a better, safer place to live.”

The Allstate Foundation awards more than $1 million every year to nonprofit organizations across the country in honor of dedicated Allstate agency owners who give back. To be eligible for nomination, Allstate agency owners must with volunteer, mentor or lead a nonprofit of their choice.
