Marilyn was found after a previous owned left her tied to the sign at exit 41, and was brought to Westport Animal Control. When she first arrived at the shelter, it was apparent that she had not been treated very nicely, officials said. She was very emaciated, with her rib cage and spine visible through her skin. She was very hungry.

She is described as "a sweet dog with a sweet and loyal personality." She loves other dogs and is very affectionate and warm with people.

Since arriving at the Westport shelter, she has received the care and veterinary treatment that she deserves, and has gained 5 pounds. She has loved the care and attention that she has received at the shelter, but now is looking for a forever home.
