NORWALK, Conn. - Norwalk’s Wave Hill Breads celebrates its first season at the Café with a show featuring the work of four Wilton artists, including Peggy Garbus, Gini Frank Fischer, Jennifer Harris and Catherine Hartigan.

The show -- celebrating the diversity and creativity of four unique local artists -- covers a range of subject matter and media, from highly abstract landscapes to realistic renderings of animals, as well as portrait and environmental photography.

“We’re excited to be celebrating the first anniversary of our Café,” said Margaret Sapir, co-owner of Wave Hill Breads Bakery & Café with her husband, Mitchell Rapoport. “Several of the artists in this show create beautiful portraits of pets, and we thought that it would be a great way to give back to the community by donating 10 percent of any art sales from this show to PAWS, the Pet Animal Welfare Society of Norwalk.”

PAWS is a network of volunteers who provide shelter, medical care and affection while finding loving homes for homeless and abused dogs and cats.

The show continues through March 31st at
the Café at Wave Hill Breads, 30 High St. in Norwalk. The cafe is open Tuesday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Wave Hill Breads is an artisanal micro-bakery and café featuring unique hand-crafted breads, authentic French pastries and foods prepared with the freshest seasonal ingredients. Wave Hill Breads recently opened an outlet at the SoNo Market Place at 314 Wilson Ave. in South Norwalk.

Gini:

Lovely photo, and though I appreciate the mention, all my work in this show are oil portrait sketches, and this beautiful photo is by Peggy Garbus!
